Houston Giclee Printing
Giclée printing is a process that uses fade resistant, archival inks and archival substrates to print on large format printers. This method of printing to make reproductions of original 2D artwork, photos or computer generated graphic art for resale has been the answer for artists looking to preserve original works. Giclée (/ʒiːˈkleɪ/ zhee-KLAY or /dʒiːˈkleɪ/) is a neologism coined in 1991 by printmaker Jack Duganne for fine art digital prints made on inkjet printers. The name originally applied to fine art prints created on Iris printers in a process invented in the late 1980s. This method has casually come to mean any inkjet print.
Now that we have the black and white of giclee out of the way, get to the color ; the vivid reasoning behind what we do what we do for artists here in Houston.
